摩訶 maka 迦葉 kas-yo 尊者

どこに宿泊されたか？
屋根の下でなく、天空の下、樹木の下に宿泊された

Not under a roof,
but lodged under the sky, under a tree
土地ではなく、建物の床面積が１００坪
建坪が１００坪と言えば、大きな家です
では、大きければ大きいほどいいでしょうか ？
落着かない、不安になるかも
The floor area of the building, not the land, is 100 tsubo
If the building floor area is 100 tsubo, it is a big house
So, is bigger better ?
May not be settled or anxious

この方のお住まいは
東西南北、上にも下にも、その端が見えなかった
Mahakasa Buddha
This person lives in a house
There were no visible edges
above or below, east, west, north, south
彼の魂は鍛え上げられていたので
そんな大天井の家に住んでも落ち着いていられた
Because his soul was so well-trained
he could live in a house with such a cathedral ceiling
and still remain calm.
