行持これ世人の愛処 ai-syo にあらざれども
諸人の実帰 zi-ki なるべし
一生懸命、仕事に打ち込む
真剣にスポーツを行う
Work hard and put in the work
Take sports seriously
結果が分かりますので
やりがいがあります
I can see the results.
It's very rewarding.
道元禅師が述べる 「 行う 」
Zen Master Dogen describes "doing."
何を行うのでしょう
What will be done
坐禅をしても、やりがいは感じません
Zazen does not feel rewarding.
当然と言えば、当然でしょうか
I guess it's only natural.
坐禅は何かをしようとするものじゃない
Zazen is not about trying to do something.
この世界に居ながら世界の裏側に立とう、です
Let's stand on the other side of the world
while staying in this world.
身体・物質に宿る以前
そこに立ち返り、改めて見直してみよう、ですから
Before dwelling in the body and matter
Let us return to that point and take a fresh look at it, because
