かの天衆とこしなへに護持する

正法眼蔵 辨道話（ ７９）
おほよそ仏法は
かの天衆とこしなへに護持するものなり
その功 ko いまだふりず
[ 坐禅は、人間を超えた存在が守護しています
[ Zazen is guarded by beings beyond human
[ 昔もそうでしたし、今もそうです
「 It was and it still is.
まさにしるべし
これは仏法の全道なり
ならべていふべきものなし
[ 坐禅は、釈尊の遺産の中核です
[ Zazen is the core of the Buddha's legacy
[ 比較すべきものはありません
[ There is no comparison to be made.
[ 普段私達は、どこに自分を感じてるでしょうか
[ Where do we usually feel ourselves?
[ 身体の中、頭の中
[ Inside the body, inside the head
[ また、身体の外にも自分を感じる時があります
[ There are also times
when I feel myself outside of my body
[ スポーツ観戦の時とか
[ Like when we're watching a sporting event.
[ そんな時も、
盛り上がってるのは身体の中とも言えます
[ Even at such times,
it can be said that
it's the body that's on the rise!
[ どう考えても、生きてる間に
身体の外に出るのは無理があります
[ In all likelihood, it's impossible
to get out of our body while we're still alive.
[ 普通それは、死と呼ばれます
[ Usually it is called death
[ とは言え、各人が身体の中に籠ってる
[ although、Each person is caged inside the body.
[ ここから様々な問題が生まれて来ます
[ This is where many problems arise.
[ 人の数だけ城があり、みな籠城して城を守ってる
[ There are as many castles
as there are people,
and they all defend their castles with a siege.
[ 坐禅では、身体の先端を活かします
[ Zazen utilizes the tip of the body
[ さらに踏み込んで、皮膚の表へ躍り出ます
[ We go further and
leap to the surface of the skin.
[ 皮膚の表は、城の中ではありません
[ The surface of the skin
is not the inside of the castle
[ しかも、城を捨てていません
[ moreover、 We haven't abandoned the castle.
[ 皮膚の表は、外に開けています
[ The surface of the skin is open to the outside
[ 坐禅では、世界が内面となります
[ In zazen, the world becomes inner
[ 身体の先端を活かすことで、
使用する皮膚の表裏を転じるわけです
[ By utilizing the tip of the body,
we turn the front and back of the skin to be used.
[ 普通、自己の内面は身体の中にあります
[ Usually, the inner self is in the body
[ 坐禅では、宇宙が自己の内面になります
[ In zazen, the universe becomes the inner self
[ これが「比較すべきものがない」と言える理由です
[ There is nothing to compare, that's why.
