承当 zyo-to することをえざるゆゑに

正法眼蔵 辨道話（ ７０）
とこしなへに受用すといへども
私達は本来、完璧に創られてますが
We are created perfect by nature, but
承当 zyo-to することをえざるゆゑに
それを開拓し、活用することが出来ません
We cannot pioneer it and take advantage of it.
それゆえ、
therefore
みだりに知見 ti-ken をおこすことをならひとして
坐禅の身体の運用の中に活路を見出す
Finding Life in the Operation of the Zazen
そうならずに
it does not go like this
何らかの考えに納得する
I am always convinced of some idea.
そんな習慣になってしまいます
Such is the custom.
これを物とおふによりて
その考えをいつも追いかけています
I'm always chasing that idea.
大道いたづらに蹉過 sya-ka す
坐禅の可能性に近づけません
Not even close to the possibilities of zazen.
この知見によりて、空華 ku-ge まちまちなり
そのようにして
様々な考えが、様々な幻影を生み出しています
That way
Different ideas create different illusions!
