正法眼蔵 辨道話（６）
すなはち弘法 gu-ho 求生 gu-syo をおもひとせり
（ 日本に帰ったならば
（ この仏法を広め、人々を救いたいと思いました
I wanted to spread this Buddhism and save people,
.なほ重担 zyu-tan をかたにおけるがごとし
（ その重責を感じました
and I felt the heavy responsibility.
しかあるに
弘通 gu-tu のこころを放下 ho-ge せん
（ しかし、その思いは温める事としました
Now is not the time
That ambition decided to warm up
激揚 geki-yo のときをまつゆゑに
（ この仏道を大いに興す時を待つためです
I waited for the time to greatly promote this Buddhist method
しばらく雲遊 un-yu 萍寄 hyo-ki して
（ 暫くは雲や浮草のように住居を定めず
for a while、Like clouds and floating grass
まさに先哲の風をきこえんとす
（ まさに先人達の生き様に倣ったのです
It just imitated the way of life of our predecessors.
ただし、おのづから名利 myo-ri にかかはらず
道念をさきとせん真実の参学あらんか
（ しかし、人の評価やリターンに関わらず仏道を求める
（ 真実の修行者がいるかも知れない
However
A selfless and sincere person may be looking for Buddhism
いたづらに邪師にまどはされて
（ しかし、その真摯な修行者が邪師に惑わされ
Without thinking deeply
Being fooled by the evil teacher
みだりに正解 syo-ge をおほひ
（ 深い霧に迷い込むかも知れない
Indiscriminately
He may get lost in the fog
